Ashley joined Pioneer in 2007 as our Finance Manager after being a client for many years. Ashley’s career experience in finance and legal affairs in the software industry, as well as her years of showing hunters and jumpers, provides her with a broad understanding of Pioneer’s operational requirements. In her free time she enjoys adventure traveling, volunteering for her local humane society, and supporting wildlife conservation.
After spending 12 years working in a local mixed animal practice, Sara joined Pioneer in May of 2014 as our pharmacy technician and coordinator of shipping and receiving. She is currently our Operations Manager and busy with the day to day proceedings at our hospital. With two kids and a husband who enjoy riding and rodeo, she occasionally gets a chance to ride her own horse. She also greatly enjoys the culinary arts and vinology.
Denise has been with Pioneer since 2003. She grew up in Oakdale and loves working with people! When Denise is not at work she enjoys being with her family and friends.
Cherie Frost grew up in Pleasanton, CA. She spent her childhood raising and showing livestock at the Alameda County Fair and California State Fair. She has ridden horses for as long as she can remember and has always had a passion for animals. She has worked in the front office for Pioneer since 2008.
Amy grew up in Tracy, CA. She loves interacting with clients and is an enthusiastic team player in the front office at Pioneer. She used to be afraid of horses until five years ago she picked up the reins and conquered her fears. Now in the spring and summer, she competes in Combined Driving and pleasure drives her two horses: Quadir, an Oldenburg and Rhino, her Percheron. In her time off, she spends her time with her family and enjoys taking on a good challenge.
Alyssa started working at Pioneer Equine Hospital in the spring of 2019. She has a passion for horses and has been around them since she was a kid. She has an Associate’s degree in Animal Science and Agricultural Business, and is currently taking classes to become a Registered Veterinary Technician. She enjoys all aspects of being an equine health technician, and takes a special interest in emergency medicine and patient care. Outside of Pioneer, you can find her riding her horses, reading, or spending time with her family. She resides in La Grange with her husband, her two kids, and her dogs.
Elizabeth grew up in Valley Springs, CA. Growing up with multiple animals, her true passion was always horses. She moved to Modesto to go to Modesto Junior College where she received her Veterinary Technician Certificate and Equine Science degree. She enjoys competing in Dressage and Hunter Jumpers. Elizabeth joined Pioneer in July 2018 as our pharmacy technician.
