Welcome to the section that will keep you informed on the latest information from Pioneer Equine Hospital dealing with you and your horse. In the past few months, Pioneer has undergone a tremendous amount of change with the opening of our hospital, introduction of two veterinarians, and launching of our new website. With that, comes a certain level of speculation and uncertainty. We want to make certain that our clients and patients continue to be the number one priority at Pioneer. In that, our goal is to provide the highest quality service in a friendly and comfortable environment, one that you have been accustomed in the past. Additionally, we have just opened our social networking with a Pioneer Equine Hospital Facebook page. Look us up and stay on top of all the specials and activities taking place at Pioneer.
For those of you who are unaware, we have opened a new hospital at 11536 Cleveland Ave., just 1.5 miles from our original facility. We hope you enjoy the added amenities of our new hospital but still feel like you are part of the Pioneer family. Please see our virtual tour on the front page or feel free to stop by at any time for a guided tour by one of our veterinarians or equine health technicians.
What happens to the original facility you ask, we are continuing the area-renowned breeding services at the Pioneer Avenue location. Concentrating on reproduction allows our veterinarians and technicians to focus on those special needs of stallions, mares, and foals without the worry of inadvertently spreading disease from a hospitalized horse. We now have plenty of room for your stallion needing semen freezing, mare needing turnout during the day, and that precious foal and mom wanting to have some quiet time together in the first days of life.
We will select certain cases to spotlight so that all our clients can understand more of what the new diagnostics and therapy we are using to get your horse back in performance as quickly as possible. We are starting a quarterly e-newsletter, which will be posted on this page as well as sent to all our clients that provide us with a current email address. We hope this e-newsletter will provide you with information on issues affecting not only us but your horses.
Another exciting announcement from Pioneer is the introduction of the new equine wellness program. The program is designed to provide you with the peace of mind that comes with knowing your horse(s) are receiving the best preventative health care on a regular and timely basis. By working with our veterinarians, you can tailor a program that is appropriate for each individual horse's health and wellness needs. Please see the client education section for more information on the wellness program.
For those that do not frequent the hospital, we want you to have the same vaccination and parasite control information that we have posted in the front office. Please see the client education section to download our preventative medicine recommendations today. As always, if you have any questions or would like to discuss your particular situation with one of our veterinarians, give us a call. We have added a new feature that all horse owners will find to be greatly beneficial to their already busy schedules. We are providing a link (WWW.BAYEQUEST.COM) to all area horse events, which will allow a competitor of any discipline to find their next show or any horse owner to see what events are taking place in their area. Whether you have cutting horses or show dressage, this event calendar is the one-stop site for all events in your area.
