Pioneer Equine Hospital offers a complete and comprehensive lameness diagnostic service that provides advanced and state-of-the-art care for the equine athlete. Our clinicians have extensive training and expertise in evaluating lameness in horses under a wide variety of disciplines within the equine industry. In addition, our world class facility includes a 140 x 300 foot covered arena where horses can be evaluated on the ground and under saddle on a variety of surfaces. Our examination rooms have special designed padded flooring and are fully equipped to provide diagnositic local anesthetic nerve blocks and appropriate treatment. With a wide variety of diagnostic imaging modalities readily available, including digital radiography, digital ultrasound, video endoscopy and MRI, diagnosing the source of the lameness can often be completed during the time of your appointment. In addition, we also offer novel treatment modalities including extracorporeal shockwave therapy, autologous conditioned serum (IRAP), stem cell therapy and platelet rich plasma (PRP). We also have a computer program available designed to evaluate gait alterations and lameness in horses with subtle lameness problems (Equinosis).
